Our Early Learning Programs
Here We Grow Child Development Center Programs
We understand children learn best by doing. Playing to Learn/Learning to Play high-quality early childhood programs teach children to think creatively so they may succeed in a complex and ever-changing world. Purposeful play is developmentally appropriate, a significant element of any early childhood program, and allows children to gain real-life values. Play is a way for children to learn intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. During a typical preschool day there will be structured and unstructured periods, enabling children to learn at their own rate.
Our infant classroom is for babies starting at 6 weeks old. Once your child has reached important milestones, such as learning to roll over, babble, wave, crawl, and walk they are transitioned to our toddler class, usually after the first birthday. Your child is introduced to potty training and other stimulating activities, such as reading and singing songs. Your child will benefit from having two teachers in their classroom at all times to receive the love, care, and nurturing they need for their development.
Our Discovery Preschool classroom is for children between 2 and 3 years of age. At this age, your child completes their potty training and is introduced to the alphabet system and numbers. Your child learns shapes and colors in a nurturing and caring environment.
Our Preschool classroom is for children 3 and 4 years of age. Your child begins to learn how to write, work on their social skills, begins a reading program and starts to learn a little math. Your child’s education takes on new meaning by becoming more academic.
Our Pre-K classroom is for children who have reached the pre-kindergarten stage for 4 and 5-year-olds. Your child begins increasing their math knowledge as well as improving their handwriting technique. Your child does more reading and is introduced to school field trips.
For school-age children, we also provide a before and after school program focused on kids who are between Kindergarten and 6th-grade education level. Staff at Here We Grow tutor as well as assist your child with homework. Your child is able to attend trips to the library as well as other planned and supervised trips and activities.
